"Hi! My Name is Porchy!" is the True Story of a Little Black Cat born under a red brick house near William Woods University's stables. Porchy's life began with hunger and hardship. As a small black cat with a notch in her ear to show she had been spayed and released, she spent years "dumpster diving" for student leftovers and sleeping in cold dirty drainpipes. She learned early on to fear the world. She suffered through a painful encounter with a BB gun and the lonely reality that black cats are often the last to be adopted.
