Roxy's Dream: Children's Early Years Mental Health book

Roxy's dream is a picture book and programme for children ages 3-5. The programme can be ran over a 3-4 week period to give children time to do the actions in the book and talk about them with their teachers, parents, carers and grandparents, etc. The book includes guidance on how to support the children in the actions.The story captures children's attention and teaches them how to strengthen their resilience so they can better cope with challenges in their lives and overcome sadness. It also teaches them the importance of good friendships, how important it is to believe in yourself, and why it's okay to be open about your feelings. The story is about a four-year-old dog named Roxy who is moving with her mum and dad. Roxy is sad because she is going to a new school and believes that she will not see her friends anymore and will have to make new friends. A superhero cat named Chelsea appears in Roxy's dream and teaches her how to overcome her sadness. This book meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) key areas. Read more
