This is the Second Edition of this book, which is the original story of Jim Baker, a famous Hollywood Restaurateur and highly decorated Marine during World War II. Through meditation and intention, he attained higher consciousness on the Spiritual paradigm - during the late '60's - and evolved to take the name of Father Yod, in 1970 and then Ya Ho Wha in 1974.His charisma and clairvoyance soon attracted a group who later came to be known as The Source Family. He named his Family based on the name of his famous Source Restaurant, which was on Sunset Strip in Hollywood. This group became the iconic representation of the unique and ultimate Spiritual goals of the 1970's, later gaining fame through the book Father Yod, YaHoWha 13 and The Source Family (Process Media, 2007, currently out of print) which later resulted in The Source Family Documentary (2012 - available now on Amazon). This book was originally printed in 2006 and included a great deal of Love and Wisdom from Father and beloved recipes from the Source Restaurant. The story was eventually re-written and developed into the mind-altering movie mentioned above, which premiered in 2012 and was seen in theaters in 60 cities across the nation, by hundreds of thousands of people. You can check it out on Amazon now. This Second Edition of this book includes UPDATES, a TIME-LINE and additional PHOTOS.The Source Family grew organically, beginning in 1970, as some of the crew who worked at the Source, and others, were enchanted by this charismatic man (I wish we had had the word “Rizz” back then) named Jim Baker. He started meditating, alone, at the Source. Soon, others joined him. Then the little group began to coalesce, and some started to call him Father, so he changed his name to Father Yod (pronounced as in road - the 10th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which represents God's omnipresence). Father began to call the group the Brotherhood of the Source. Later, he changed the name to The Source Family. At most times during the Family, over 100 of us were blessed to live with Father, a man who attained a level of consciousness that we would not have been able to even imagine, without him. He gave us a huge body of “Love and Wisdom”, which has enabled (most of) us to maintain our balance, no matter what.Father left his earthly body in August of 1975, after his only hang-glider flight and, without him, the Family was completely dispersed and on our own Paths by 1977. Isis and E Aquarian started this book in 1999 and completed it in early 2006. It was intended for our Family Members, to share our memories, Father's Teachings and the original recipes from the Source. We have decided to reprint this book because Father and the Family have gotten a somewhat famous since this book was printed.THIS is why we became famous: within 3 days of our having sent this book off to the printer, Jodi Wille, of Process Media contacted us (she didn't know about this book) and offered to publish a book about us. We worked on the new book together and published it in 2007. Father Yod, YaHoWha 13 and the Source Family is currently out of print but we are working on releasing it again.Enjoy - and learn from - this timeless, classic and very unique story - available as a paperback and a Kindle book ! We would like to put it out as an audio book but, so far, the cost has been prohibitive. Read more
